DAIRY MILK PRODUCTION IN THE NORTH OF VIETNAM:
AN INSTANCE STUDY IN MOC CHAU

Dairy products milk development in Moc Chau plays a part in improve the wellbeing of plantation households. That generates daily income intended for farmers, offers a highly nourishing food for people, create job opportunities for the society. Though it brings a rather high salary for maqui berry farmers, their life is very hard, and their living common is quite low. This analyze aims to apply a monitoring system in farms to assist farmers bettering their efficiency. Six field trips were carried out to help dairy maqui berry farmers to screen their facilities and gather economic and technical data in 2010-2012 in Moc Chau. The main findings happen to be: stocking level, milk yield and profits were rather high nevertheless varied mainly from this farm building to others. Cost control in farm had not been good thus dairy margin was not substantial. Purchased nourish cost was too high. Homegrown feed accounted for a small component to cost yet produced large amount of milk while purchased give food to dominated an extremely large amount of expense but produced less dairy quantity. A lot of the farmers followed the objective of raising milk production but did not pay attention to the top quality of crowd and dairy; did not call and make an optimal decision. Milk production and its worth adding activities such as the control, marketing and syndication of milk create job opportunities for the society. This kind of paper research on the scenario of dairy milk creation in Moc Chau area, Sonla region in the North of Vietnam. It seeks is to assess the milk yield, milk income, working cost, margins, and earnings of dairy farms to find out how the milk farmers run their farms and by what way they will improve their performance. 2 .
This analysis chooses Moc Chau being a study site because: (i) farmers in Moc Chau have a quite very long time experience in dairy development; (ii) milk is the key financial sectors, bring the major income source for dairy products farmers in Moc Chau; (iii) amount and top quality of dairy in Moc Chau happen to be increasing quickly nowadays; (iv) milk development in Moc Chau has to cope with problems in sustainable development. The principal data was collected via 50 facilities; including twelve key facilities, through six field outings. The first one was carried out in July 2010 to collect guide and qualitative information of the study web page. The second field trip was conducted in May 2011 to set up a plan of monitoring that help farmers to monitor their farms. The next field trip occurred in August 2011 to consult and help maqui berry farmers in collecting data and transaction in farms. Your fourth and the 6th trips were carried out in November 2011 and 03 2012 with all the same duties in the third one.
